Kratom Lab Testing

Third-party testing is an integral factor of a reputable, trustworthy Kratom supplier. Kats Kratom uses an outside third-party laboratory to test our products for the presence of pathogens, heavy metals, and pesticides, making sure our labeling is transparent and accurate.

When you buy Kratom powder from Kats Kratom, we ensure it is free of any detrimental additives like heavy metals, pesticides, or pathogens, and that it is 100% Kratom leaf.

Plant Potency and Labeling

Labs accurately test Kratom products to make sure it is pure Kratom leaf powder and nothing else. A lab report reveals the alkaloids levels in the powder to highlight its potency.

Alkaloids are the naturally occurring compounds that are found generally in flowering plants. Mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine are the two most influential alkaloids in Kratom.

Kats Kratom uses leaves picked at just the right time by expert harvesters to ensure purity and quality in every Kratom product we sell.

A plant’s morphology, or its external form, results from the amount of sunlight and the quality of the water and soil. These factors influence how the plant grows and, in the case of Kratom, how many alkaloids are in the leaves.

Pathogens

These microorganisms may occur naturally, but they can wreak havoc on human bodily systems. Interestingly, pathogens are not present in Kratom when it is growing, so looking at a lab report is often like taking a snapshot of how the plant was harvested, processed, and stored.

An outside laboratory tests for salmonella, E.coli, mold, and coliforms. If any of these pathogens are present, it is clear the leaves were not plucked from the tree but picked off the ground. It could also indicate that the leaves were stored in a damp place, allowing mold to grow.

Pathogens can cause you a lot of harm, so it’s crucial to know if they are present in the product you’re considering buying. At Kats Kratom, if we discover pathogens in any of our products, we destroy the products immediately and do not sell them to customers. Our customers’ health and well-being is our highest priority.

Outside Laboratory Tests

Before the powder or crushed leaf Kratom reaches the consumer, reputable sellers like Kats Kratom send out samples to a third-party laboratory to test for alkaloid levels, label transparency, and detrimental substances like mold, coliforms, or other pathogens.

When a lab analyzes a sample for microorganisms like pathogens or mold, it gives an excellent snapshot of the harvesting techniques. If lab analysts detect either of these pathogens in the sample, it is clear that workers did not pick the leaves off the tree but the ground. It may also indicate faulty storage, leading to damp, moldy Kratom.

To ensure the product you’re buying is free of any harmful additives and is 100% Kratom leaf, request a full report. At Kats Kratom, we happily provide you with lab results and answer any questions you may have.

How We Test

Kats Kratom, we use a third-party laboratory to test our Kratom products. Other than finding a reputable Kratom supplier, the other major safety step you should take is to inquire about outside lab testing. At Kats, we use a third-party laboratory to test our Kratom products. Using a third-party laboratory means the tests are objective and unbiased. Our Kratom products are subjected to several different kinds of tests to assess purity and potency.

Testing begins with a simple sensory test, noting the look, smell, and feel of the sample before they do anything else. The laboratory compares these observations to a quality indicator – benchmarks that labs use to test samples against industry standards.

To delve further into the chemical makeup of the sample, the lab uses high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GCMS), and thin-layer chromatography (TLC), among other tests.

WHY KATS KRATOM?

In this test, a sample blended with a solvent is pumped through a column at high pressure to separate, identify, and quantify each component.

This method is used to separate the different components of the sample and test their purity.

Not all of these types of tests are necessary to use on every single sample. Often the GCMS and TLC are used to make sure the results of the HPLC are correct. Labs also use microbiology testing to take a mold and yeast count and to make a chemical analysis.

At Kats Kratom, we make these reports available to you upon request so you can see for yourself that the Kratom you are buying is pure, potent, and safe.
